The System 3 Clay Extruder is powered by air. 
Drive Extruder regulator of about 90 to 100 lbs of pressure to extrude forms throupugmillgh the dies.
This means the actual compressor should have an auto "on/off" setting on it's regulator 
(built into the compressor) that supplies preferably about 85 (when it goes on) to 125 psi (when it goes off). You do not want a compressor that comes on lower than 80 lbs pressure.
You can have a supply that goes up to 150 psi. The air flow is controlled by a foot pedal. 
This unit comes complete with pressure regulator, moisture trap, pressure gauge, and foot pedal.
